I initially intended to write an end of year top 10, but there have been so many amazing albums released
this year that I got a little carried away and made a top 30 instead. I've omitted EPs (although I have to give a shout
out to the particularly enjoyable EPs by Ghost
[review here], Skarlett Riot, Black Sabbath, Lilith And The Knight [review here] and Novacrow), and I've also
omitted my own bands album, as including it would be egotistical and a little
sad. Click HERE to read about that one.

MY TOP 30 HARD ROCK/METAL/GOTH/PUNK/ALT ALBUMS OF 2016.
About: LESBIAN BED DEATH - Evil Never Dies
Only an utter cretin would
review their own band's album. However, I'm incredibly proud of Evil Never Dies so please indulge me,
as I'd like to write a bit about it.

Movie review: THE PURGE: ELECTION YEAR
I'm a huge fan of the first
two Purge movies, so much so that my
band wrote a song about them (Check out Survive
the Night by Lesbian Bed Death
on the Evil Never Dies album). To
say I was very excited to see this third instalment in the franchise is an
understatement. Unfortunately, I missed it at the cinema this year. I'm lucky
enough to have three cinemas close to where I live, yet only one showed it.
Even then, the movie disappeared really quickly. I was genuinely gutted when I
looked at the listings to go and see it and it was already gone. It's sad that
Horror movies don't seem to have the mainstream appeal in the UK that they do
in America. So alas, my sorry ass had to wait for several months to watch it. I
bought the Blu-Ray on Boxing Day, the day it went on sale here. I'm pleased to
say it was worth the wait.

Top 20 HORROR MOVIES for Halloween
It's nearly Halloween, so I thought I'd compile a list of
my 20 favourite Horror Movies of all time. I love every single one of these
movies more than you could possibly imagine, despite almost all of them being
panned by critics. I've kept the list to one movie per franchise to avoid
Friday 13th dominating it. I'm sure that my top 20 will prompt outrage
from geeks across the world, especially due to the omission of several revered
classics but I really don't care. I'm going to sit here and contemplate the
sheer awesomeness of Jason X while devouring pizza. Oh, and I've included a few of my favourite scenes and trailers too. Enjoy!

Gig review: CHUCK MOSLEY at The Underground, Stoke-on-Trent 03/10/2016
For those unfamiliar with Chuck Mosley, he was the lead
singer on the first two Faith No More albums, We Care A Lot and Introduce
Yourself. Both of which were hugely influential on the Alternative Rock/Metal
scene, and are still as relevant today as when they came out. Chuck has also
been a member of Cement and Bad Brains as well as a solo artist. But let's be
honest here, the vast majority of his fan base including myself, discovered
Chuck through Faith No More. When I heard he was doing a full UK tour, and better
still, playing a few miles from home, I was extremely excited.

Gig review: MEGARA & TRECE DIAS at Sala BeCool, Barcelona 17/09/16
I was in a record shop in Barcelona recently, and picked up a few flyers for various gigs and club nights. One of them was a for a Megara and Trece Dias gig due to happen that same day. I hadn't heard of either before, but I was feeling adventurous and decided to go check them out.

The Barcelona Rock / Metal / Alternative Scene
I went on holiday to Barcelona (13th-20th September
2016), and decided to check out as many Rock/Metal/Goth/Alternative venues as I could
while I was there. Barcelona has a reputation for being a 'City of Heavy Metal', so I
felt duty bound to investigate and write about it. I did some research
on the internet before I went, but most of the information was out of date, and
a number of the rock bars that had been written about online had been closed down for some time. Obviously all the
information I'm writing is currently accurate, but if you're reading the
article some point in the future, it's always worth making sure that the venues
still exist by checking the internet.
