OK, so let's be honest. My blog has really gone to shit over the last couple of years. I needed a break and had all kinds of things going on in my personal life, so it slowly fizzled out. Having said that, I always checking out new bands and albums, and have been to loads of gigs this year. I've been very much a part of the scene, I just haven't been writing about it. 

I've had my interest rekindled recently, so expect a few more posts from me in 2024. 

Until then, here are the albums that came out in 2023 that I enjoyed the most. As usual, I didn't include, re-recordings (sorry Cavalera and Paradise Lost) or live albums (sorry Cradle of Filth- yours was a banger though). No EPs either (apologies, Spiritbox!).
