Nashville Pussy is a badass Rock N' Roll band from Atlanta, Georgia. They were one of those bands that never seemed to get as big as everyone thought they would, despite tours with Marilyn Manson and Motorhead, and being publicly praised by the mighty Lemmy himself.

I remember their debut album, Let Them Eat Pussy, which came out on a major label, believe it or not. It was one of those records that everyone paid attention to due to its cover alone, and the band received quite a bit of mainstream press in the UK. I haven't heard much from them since then, so it's been a pleasure to re-connect with them via this new record.

Please To Eat You is their seventh studio album and another chapter in their beer-soaked retro repertoire. Musically, this new album is in the same vein as their previous outings. They clearly understand what their fans want from a Nashville Pussy album, and the band is delivering exactly that. If you haven't heard them before, imagine a mix of Motorhead and early Alice Cooper, or possibly ZZ Top if they were pissed off alcoholics and decided to fuzz up their guitars and make your ears bleed. That's pretty much what you get from Nashville Pussy.

It's all filth, energetic, blues-based fun Rock n' Roll. It's a great listen throughout, but for me, the stand-out tracks are Testify, One Bad Mother, and the wonderfully un-PC opener She Keeps Me Coming And I Keep Going Back.

After 20 years on the scene, Nashville Pussy are still doing the same thing and seem to be completely uninfluenced by all the music scenes that have been and gone in that time. It's as though the Seventies never stopped. Let's be honest, no-one into this band would want them any other way.

Right, I'm off to have a shower after listening to this.
